Collection: World Football League

The World Football League (WFL) was established in 1973 by Gary Davidson and Don Regan, the same folks who founded the World Hockey Association (WHA) and the American Basketball Association (ABA). However, the WFL wasn’t as fortunate as most of its team owners were severely undercapitalized. The league struggled through its first season before collapsing halfway through its second.
